Flora and Fauna Close to The Sea

The Mediterranean climate and karst topography is a guarantee of wildlife diversity. The Dalmatia region is an extremely rewarding place for the study of flora and fauna, being at the meeting points of specific climate and terrain zones, and also for the study of underwater wildlife. Come and visit sites in Split-Dalmatia County that are essential for understanding rich wildlife and ecosystems. Such as: the Malacological Museum in Makarska, the Split Aquarium, Biokovo Nature Park, the rivers of Cerina, Vrljika, Žrnovnica and Jadro, the Blue and Red Lake in Imotski, Prološko Blato near Proložac, etc. You will be surprised to discover the biodiversity of flora and fauna in our vicinity. Since it is primarily intended for student groups, the package includes the cultural and historic sites of Dalmatia which means that everyone will find something suitable for themselves.

 

3 to 5-days tour packages are available. The programme of activities for a 3-day package includes: Day 1: Split – tour of the city and of Diocletian’s Palace, Visiting Split Aquarium, rivers of Žrnovnca and Jadro; Day 2: tour of Biokovo Nature Park including a workshop; Day 3: Blue and Red Lake near Imotsko, tour of Lake Prološko Blato and the most important checkpoint of rivers of Vrljika and Cetina. The package can be booked throughout the whole year for groups of 10 to 100 persons. Available accommodation in 2 to 4-star hotels and in hostels. Transport is by bus. Professional guidance is available in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish and Croatian language, and in other languages on request.
