Vidova Gora on the island of Brač, with an altitude of 778 metres, is the highest mountain of the Adriatic islands and one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Adriatic. The sides of its ridge are completely different. The southern one collapses, diving with its rocks into the sea towards Bol, and the northern descends gradually as a gently sloping karst plateau

Brač stone has been known in construction since antiquity. Since the Middle Ages, stonemasonry, and plastic processing of Brač marble flourished. Works created from Brač stone can be found all over the world. Many famous buildings were constructed partly from Brač white marble, such as the White House in Washington. On the site of the Illyrian walls, which date back to 1400 BC, a Roman mausoleum was built, followed by the defensive fortress Radojković, which is the home of the Museum of the island of Brač today with interesting exhibits from the Kopačina cave, Roman tombstones, nautical charts and various Brač handicrafts.
