The best way to discover the long history and culture of the island of Brač is by visiting Škrip, the oldest settlement on the island. Prehistoric ramparts, numerous archaeological finds, sarcophagi and reliefs, and medieval graves testify to the long history of this place and life on the island of Brač. On the site of the Illyrian walls, which date back to 1400 BC, a Roman mausoleum was built, followed by the defensive fortress Radojković, which is the home of the Museum of the island of Brač today with interesting exhibits from the Kopačina cave, Roman tombstones, nautical charts and various Brač handicrafts.
