Salona was the ancient metropolis of the Roman province of Dalmatia located on the central part of the eastern Adriatic coast. In antiquity it was the capital of Dalmatia, but was abandoned during the migration of people, and later the Croatian medieval city of Solin developed to the east of the ruins of the ancient city
Today, Solin is the youngest Croatian city with the largest number of children born per capita. Its proximity to Split, infrastructure and modern housing concept have turned it into an ideal modern oasis for young families
