The curse “May you end up on Šolta”

The folk curse used a long time ago by mothers to threaten their daughters in Dalmatia. Allegedly, all girls who would marry the spouse from Šolta were condemned to arduous and difficult physical labor on the island. The situation is quite different today, so this island is now synonymous with peace surrounded by the smell of the sea, silence and beautiful greenery
