A NEW PROMO VIDEO FOR A VERY OLD TOWN – STARI GRAD ON HVAR
A new look at one of Central Dalmatia’s most interesting destinations, and one with as much history and heritage as anywhere in this beautiful region.
It is more than 2,000 years since the Ancient Greeks from the island of Paros sailed into a deep protected bay on the northern coast of Hvar, before setting up their first settlement, which they called Faros.
The name of Faros has changed since them to Stari Grad, which literally means ‘Old Town’, and there is plenty of Greek heritage to enjoy today, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Stari Grad Plain.
A new promotional video from the Stari Grad Tourist Board brings all that heritage and history into sharp focus, as well as the many other treasures – culture, cuisine, wine, beaches, adventure sport, nature, and more – that Hvar’s first capital has to offer.
Check out the new promotional video below, and learn more about Stari Grad here.
