Brač – wine cellars and tasting rooms

The island of Brač is rich in indigenous grape varieties whilst the tradition of Brač winemaking is extremely long. The most famous wine of this island is dark red Plavac, which you can taste in the traditional environment of the stone houses in Nerežišća, in the wine cellar of the Senjković family in Dračevica or in the cellar of winemaker Baković in Murvica. The “Jako Vino” Winery in Bol was built in 1903, and operates in the facilities of the First Dalmatian Wine Cooperative. It is open to visitors who, after exploring the wine cellar, can taste the autochthonous Croatian varieties Pošip, Vugava, Tribidrag and Plavac Mali within the superior environment of a modern winery based on tradition, in the wine tasting room and wine shop.
