The official site of the Tourist Board Split-Dalmatia County

Just as the three-century-old knight’s game Alka is unique, so is the Sinj Alka Museum in Sinj an attractive and modern institution of cultural heritage. When walking around the museum, you can observe the original uniforms, equipment and weapons of the Sinj Alkars, the Alkar statute and rule books as well as numerous photographs in modern digital form. The Museum’s special attraction is a display of the Alkar Procession made life-size, as well as a multimedia reconstruction of the battle of Sinj from 1715. The Sinj Alka is inscribed on the UNESCO list of world intangible cultural heritage whilst the Museum was accoladed by the European Community for cultural heritage award – Europa Nostra.
