Punta Rata Beach

Punta rata, located in small town of Brela on Makarska riviera, is for sure a symbol of the Adriatic sea. Its beauty was recognized back in 2004 when the famous Forbes magazine listed it among the most beautiful beaches in the world. But the title is well deserved. Punta Rata will undoubtedly captivate you. It’s a unique beach, featuring a stone that rises from the seabed, covered in lush vegetation. It’s a sight that makes everyone stop and take photos. The experience is even more memorable when you swim in its beauty.

Nugal Beach

A beautiful, secluded beach located about two kilometers from the center of Makarska. You can reach it via a path through the Osejava park-forest from either Makarska or Tučepi. The sea here is crystal clear, just like everywhere along the Makarska Riviera. The beach is bordered by cliffs, creating picturesque views when seen from above. It is also surrounded  by pine trees, providing shade for swimmers.

Velika Duba Beach

Živogošće, another gem on the Makarska Riviera, is adorned with beautiful fine pebble and sandy beaches, surrounded by olive groves and pine forests, creating a natural oasis. According to the locals, the title of the most beautiful beach goes to Velika Duba, which you can reach via a 700-meter-long paved promenade from the village of Živogošće Blato. The beach also features a small cave that you can swim to. The advantage of the beach is that, even in the summer months, it doesn’t get as crowded as other places on the Makarska Riviera. On the way to the beach, you’ll notice several secluded coves that can only be reached by boat.

Zlatni Rat Beach

Probably the most famous Croatian beach, but it’s definitely worth the hype. Located on the island Brač, this is a pebbly beach, forested, with many amenities and options for water sports. Zlatni Rat is a haven for surfers, kiteboarders, and stand-up paddleboarders. What makes it unique is its shape: its peak (horn), hollowed in the shape of a tongue, that changes form depending on the winds and sea currents, making it a global phenomenon. As you swim deeper, you’ll notice the water changing shades of blue, from turquoise to deep blue.

Dubovica Beach

One of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Hvar. It is adorned with stunning white pebbles and has a fascinating underwater world, making it particularly interesting for divers, as well as for children. Dubovica is home to an old stone church from the 17th century, which is why it is under special cultural protection. The beach features a restaurant and a beach bar. You will also notice a beautiful stone country house, a place where Hvar families used to relax in the 18th century.

Stiniva Beach

If you’re looking for a beach that will take your breath away, it will surely be Stiniva on the island of Vis. Surrounded by impressive cliffs that create a natural amphitheater space, with a small passage between two rocks that embrace it. It is a favorite destination for sailors. You can reach this beach by a goat path, which is not well-maintained (from the village of Žužeca), or by boat, which is actually the best option. Due to its inaccessible location and difficult terrain, the beach has remained untouched, preserving its natural beauty and is now protected as an important landscape. One thing is certain, the unreal beauty of Stiniva will be etched in your memory.
