Hiking on Mosor

The Mosor mountain separates the central Dalmatian coast from the hinterland, and the northern slopes of the Mosor mountain are mostly located in the Dugopolje municipality. The mountain was once used for cattle grazing and wood cutting, and today it is used for sports, recreation and hunting. The Chapel of Croatian Martyrs was built in 2013 not far from Šatorak. Every year in September, the Croatian Mountaineering Association “Ljubljan” from Dugopolje organizes a pilgrimage and hiking to the Chapel with lunch and an opportunity to socialize after the Holy Mass. The guests of MA “Ljubljan” are mountaineering associations from Split and the surrounding area. The hike to the Chapel takes about an hour
