Brač Orienteering Championship

The Brač Open Orienteering Championship takes place in October and brings together competitors from European countries. Two middle distance races are run on the slopes of Vidova Gora with a base in the pastoral village of Gažul, while the third, a sprint race, is held in Postire along narrow stone streets. This type of running means moving on an unknown terrain, and the main goal is for the runner to get oriented with the help of a map and a compass and find predetermined control points marked on the map in the shortest possible time
