International folklore meetings

The international folklore meetings “Beauty in Stone” have been held in Dugopolje since 2004, thanks to the enthusiasm of the members of the Folklore Association “Pleter” from Dugopolje. In addition to performances by  “Pleter” and performances by other folklore associations from Croatia and neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, every year “Beauty in Stone”  hosts several cultural associations from other European countries (Serbia, Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland…). The event takes place in July on the Square of Homeland Thanksgiving, and its long-term goal is to become one of the biggest cultural events in the Dalmatian hinterland and for Dugopolje to become a tourist destination known for these and similar cultural events
