In Dalmatia you will have the opportunity to hear numerous interesting legends and historical stories. One of them is the impressive love story between the young man Miljenko and the girl Dobrila, who are also referred to as “Kaštela’s Romeo and Juliet”. The story goes back to the 16th century Kaštel Lukšić and talks of a tragic love of noble family decedents. Their romantic legend was described also by writer, the noble Marko Kažotić from Trogir, in 1833. Today, the play “Legend of Miljenko and Dobrila” is performed in the medieval castles of Kaštela and other authentic locations, alongside a multi-day program held in their honour
