In Kaštel Štafilić grows an exceptional monument of nature, the olive-tree more than 1500 years old. It is supposed that it comes from the South Italy or Greece. People call it the Old olive-tree (Olea Europea) or Mastrinka, as local inhabitants call it. The annual yield of this olive is refined to oil which put in replicas of the glass Greek Lacrimarum is used as autochthonous Kaštela’s souvenir. In 1990 it was proclaimed the monument of nature.
