Divers describe the underwater world around Hvar, especially the part around Pakleni islands, as one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. The most interesting underwater location is the westernmost part of the archipelago itself, which is formed by a group of several vertical cliffs densely overgrown with gorgonians, and abundantly inhabited by various fish and shellfish.
