The official site of the Tourist Board Split-Dalmatia County

The stadium on Poljud, built for the needs of the Mediterranean Games in 1980 in Split, was very soon renamed “Poljudska ljepotica” because at that time it was declared the most beautiful European stadium to hold the European Athletics Championships in 1990. The stadium is both the home and venue of Hajduk football club matches, founded in 1911 and for many citizens of Split one of the symbols of the city. For football fans, a “Dišpet spite9 tour” has been organised, which, accompanied by a guide, includes a visit to city locations related to the history of Hajduk and ends with a tour of the stadium and the club’s impressive trophy hall.
