Bread under the bell in Kaštil Slanica

Kaštil Slanica was known from the 12th to the 14th centuries as a safe haven for pirates from Omiš. From the 14th century, there was a station for the sale of salt, and today it is a monument from the 16th century and a restaurant where many people like to hang out. And with good reason! Located in the heart of the Cetina canyon, the natural scenery of the crystal green river, the whiteness of the canyon and the Island of Love, Kaštil Slanica links its cuisine to the environment and past dishes from the canyon, the sea and the rocks of Omiš. Homemade bread is the hallmark of the restaurants in this region. Prepared in the way our ancestors prepared it, using fire to bake it, it is prepared daily in the restaurants. The uniqueness of the preparation which relies on old Dalmatian traditions, gives to each guest a memorable experience.

The culinary workshop of preparing bread under the oven takes place in the original conditions, on the chimney with the crackling of the fire and the smell of smoke; the mentorship of the hostess will convey small secrets to each guest, the result of which is deeply etched in the memory

Tourist packages for 1 to 3 days. The programme of activities for the 3-day package includes Day 1 Omiš; Day 2: culinary workshop in Kaštil Slanica; tasting of the prepared bread; Lunch in Kaštil Slanica; Day 3: Departure. Packages are available throughout the year for groups of 2 to 50 people. Accommodation is available in the 3-star pansion Radmanove mlinice, and other 3 or 4 star hotels and in 3 star private accommodation. Transport provided for arrival and departure from the destination, and transport in the destination is either included or it can be organized by the agency. Professional guides are available in English, German, Italian and Russian, and on request in other languages.
