Church of St. Michael
The old croatian Church of St. Michael (Sv. Mihovil) is the most important monument of the Makarska coastline. Built at the end of the 11th century, it is a three-naval Romanesque building and one of the few such churches in southern Croatia
Authenticity and a farming tradition
The old wooden machine for processing olives placed along the coast is a witness to the farming history and a monument to exceptional olive oils. When you touch, with your bare feet, the smooth white stone pebbles shaped by the crystal-clear sea, you will touch the stress-free existence and experience authentic Dalmatia, the land of sea, sun, fishermen and farm workers

Legend has it that before his death King Arthur searched for a place to lay down his sword – Excalibur. When he found it, he named the place Igrane, after his mother Igraynni.  Allegedly, the Igrane Bay still hides the Artur’s sward to this day

Igrane Bell tower

In the last century, in distant America, Mate Dušan Parun from Igrane vowed to build a bell tower in Igrane right next to the Church of Our Lady of Rosary. A belfry with a watch and bells constructed in an Italian factory was paid, in the currency of the era, around one million dinars
