A special event brought to you by Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County offers you a chance to discover the beauty, flavors, and timeless traditions of this stunning region in an unforgettable celebration of food, music, and culture.
Nestled along the sun-drenched Adriatic coast, Central Dalmatia is a region where history, culture, and natural beauty blend in perfect harmony. From ancient island settlements and charming coastal towns to the olive groves, vineyards, and crystal-clear bays that define its landscape, every part of this region tells a story of authenticity and Mediterranean elegance. It is a place where time moves a little slower, where tradition and creativity coexist, and where the simple joys of good food, fine wine, and heartfelt hospitality create a way of life admired the world over.

Dalmatian Marenda: A Culinary Tradition Like No Other
In Dalmatia, marenda isn’t just a meal—it’s a cherished tradition. This mid-morning feast, served between breakfast and lunch, is all about slowing down and savoring the moment. Featuring simple yet exquisite dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, marenda highlights the heart and soul of Mediterranean cuisine. Signature dishes include crispy fried sardines, slow-cooked pašticada with gnocchi, savory fish stew (brudet), and refreshing octopus salad—all perfectly paired with Dalmatia’s celebrated wines like Plavac Mali and Pošip.

Bringing Dalmatian marenda to the World
This initiative by the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County (Croatia) aims to promote the authentic flavors and lifestyle of Central Dalmatia worldwide. After two years of success, the journey continues in Warsaw, Poland. Guests will enjoy a unique showcase of Dalmatian delicacies, crafted under the guidance of acclaimed chefs, including Croatian MasterChef Željko Neven Bremec.
Exciting Prizes
As part of the celebration, guests will have the chance to win incredible prizes, including 3 vacation packages (for two) to Central Dalmatia. Among them are three exclusive vacation packages that promise unforgettable experiences along the Adriatic coast. One lucky couple will enjoy a five-night stay at Boutique Camping Bunja on the island of Brač, in a stylish beachfront bungalow surrounded by Mediterranean nature. Another prize includes a two-night stay at Hotel Marinus in the charming seaside town of Marina, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
