Central Dalmatia Culinary Heritage

If we take into consideration that the most valuable types of grapes were those authentic Dalmatia is one of the most important wine treasures. Here you can find more than two hundred early types which after centuries of growing at the same location took over certain specific characteristics impossible to reproduce. This is a really fortune in vines. Some of old sorts almost disappeared with the time from the memory. Luckily more and more wine producers nowadays decide to revitalise these valuable lost sorts and abduct them from oblivion. This is no way an easy task. A lot of effort, persistence and energy is needed in order to give back these lost sorts so only the biggest experts and real wine lovers dare to do that. This programme shall uncover you their world – the world of lost sorts.

Search for lost wine sorts of Dalmatia, presentation and tasting of wines produced from authentic types of grapes grown for centuries in Dalmatian vineyards, education on ways of tasting and selection of wines.

Package can be organised for a period of 6 days. Framework programme of activities for 6 days package includes : 1. day-:Omiš, 2. day: wine workshop“Lost sorts of Dalmatia“ under supervision  of a sommelier , lunch in Cetina river canyon , 3. day : Šibenik and Krka National park ,winery in Skradin , 4. day: Split and Diocletian palace, olive oil tasting, 5. day: Imotski, Red and Blue Lake , tasting of wine of authentic sorts in Vrgorac and Imotski , 6. day: departure. Package can be realised through the whole year for the groups of 2 to 50 persons. Accommodation can be organised  in 3*,4* and 5* hotels and private apartments while the agency can organise the transport.  Professional guidance in Croatian and  English ; upon request in other languages too.  All these data are optional and not obligatory so please revert to us for final tender.
