Traditional dishes of Dalmatia
We believe that the saying “The way to a person’s heart is through his stomach” is the best way of getting to know Dalmatia.
Omiš, Brač, Split, Solin
We will begin our gastronomic story in the vicinity of Omiš where we will try out real Dalmatian soparnik and delicacies characteristic for the Cetina River (frogs, eels).
The next stop is Split with its plenty of fish delicacies such as gregada (fish stew) seafood and shellfish a la buzara. We will take you round the peškarija (fish market) where fresh fish has been sold every day for centuries now. We will visit picturesque Island of Brač where your taste-buds will experience vitalac and the excellent local wines. The sweet teeth among you will surely love the cake hrapaćuša. To make your stay even more enjoyable, we will teach you how to make a few traditional dishes in special culinary workshops. And finally we will visit the olive oil factory where you will meet the true queen of Dalmatia – the olive tree and its intense green olive oil.
