In the town centre, on the biggest town square there is a monument of Andrija Kačić Miošić (work of art of Ivan Rendić), built in 1890. From the northern part the Kačić Square is closed by the church of St. Mark built in 1766 while behind the church there is an old school built in the 19th century, having classic and Neo-Renaissance elements. On the Kačić Square, between the monument and the church there is a Venetian fountain from the 1775 when this town got drinking water. On that fountain is engraved prohibition to wash clothes and watering. Vepric is a Marian sanctuary near Makarska. It was founded in 1908 on the model of the Lourdes, by the Split and Makarska bishop Juraj Cavrić who was also buried in the sanctuary, by his own wish.
