Krilo Jesenice - Trabakuli

Published in Culture and sights

Particular charm is given to this place by the trabakuli, large wooden ships, many of which are berthed. The tradition of their construction is 300 years old. They were first used to transport wine, then sand and now are used as well-known tourist attractions providing the unique pleasure of cruising along the Middle Dalmatian islands. This village is often known as the ship-hotel as there are a total of 1200 beds on boats – partly on the most comfortable tourist sailing boats and partly on small luxurious boats.
