Kaštel Lukšić - Rušinac

Published in Culture and sights

In the quiet cove between Kaštel Lukšić and Kaštel Stari, amongst straggling southern vegetation, the remains of a fortified castle known by the people as Rušinac rose above the sea. It was named after a common man from Mihovil Rosana who built it in 1482. The castle was later annexed. Alongside this isolated castle, is a small church with a so-called distaff belfry (zvonik na preslicu).
