Jelsa - Church of St Mary

In 1331 the original early Gothic church of St Mary was built and in 1535 it was enlarged. Today's church carries the name of Church of the Assumption of Mary and consists of four chapels, inside which is a painting of "Our Lady and torture of Fabian and Sebastian", a work of art from the Flemish and Venetian painter P. de Costera, and a relief by Antonio Poro.
