PATHS OF BRAČ STONE – FROM THE SOIL TO ETERNITY

Stone of Brač. Symbol and basis of the island of Brač ,promoter and curse as the coexistance of island population with the stone is nowhere so much interrelated as on Brač . With its beauty it assured the eternity and left the permanent mark worldwide woven in palaces, cathedrals, bridges .
Paths of Brač stone shall lead you to roman quarry Rasohe where slaves used to extract stone with which Diocletian palace was built.
Ride jeeps off road we shall uncover you the hidden paths, history of drystone walls and aggregates which talk a lot about the essence of the island.Through the odlest settlement Škrip and rich collection of the Museum of the island of Brač through traditional stonemason village of Donji Humac where with the assistance of stonemason you will make the souvenier made of stone in the gallery owned by Jakšić family. At the end of tour we shall take you to the beautiful bay of Pučišća where we shall visit stonemasonry school , the only active stone carver school in this part of Europe.

Off road visit to the island with the visit to villages of Škrip, Splitska, Donji Humac, Pučišća, presentations in the Museum of the island of Brač and stonemasonry school , visit to the Jakšić family gallery, visit of the roman quarry Rasohe.

Package can be organised for a period of 2 to 7 days. Indicative programme of activities for four days package includes : 1.day : visit of the oldest settlement and Museum of the island of Brač, 2. day:visit of the village Splitska and roman quarry Rasohe , 3 day : visit of Donji Humac, nearby quarries and Jakšič family gallery, 4 day : visit of Pučišća and stonemasonry school

Package can be realised between April and November for groups from 2 to 24 persons. Accommodation in hotels and apartments while transport by our vehicles.
