In the period betwecz the 15th and the 18th cetury, fortifications were built to protect the village. From that period were preserved all fortification and fortification – residcztial facilities – towers with the features of plebeian architecture. Towers are placed on the wider area of Gornji Tučepi: The Šarić-kula is situated on a most peaky rock under Biokovo; the Bušelića kula is also peaky but closer to the village cetre; the Lalića kula is situated in the village cetre and makes part of the out-houses and residcztial facilities complex. From the north-western side, above Tučepi and Podpeć, there is a rock with a fortification and residcztial facilities built in the dry stone walling dominating.
