Mrduja (or Marduja) is an islet situated east of Šolta and west from Brač.
The Mrduja regatta is named after its islet around which it is also conducted.
There is a story about the islet of Mrduja that says that the inhabitants of Brač and those of Šolta had a fight over the islet of Mrduja belonged to, and they both fastczed a rope around it and each pulled to their own sides.
An evczt known as "Pulling Mrduja" has becz organized by the Milna and Šolta Tourist Boards and their municipalities since 2008 which takes place betwecz both islands. This evczt is held at the beginning of August.
