NEW LOOK FOR SPLIT WATERFRONT: NEW HOTEL MARJAN TO OPEN IN 2022

Great news for Split tourism – the iconic Hotel Marjan on the Split waterfront will be opening with a new look in 2022!   The hotel, which lies on West Coast, has arguably one of the best positions in the Dalmatian capital, but it has sadly been closed for years pending renovation.    The hotel was acquired by leading Croatian hotel group Adris late last year, and the company has announced that it plans to completely demolish the building. The new construction will be designed by famous Italian architect and designer Pier Lissoni, who will head up the project.    The project is at the paperwork stage at the moment, with a location permit being sorted, and the new hotel is expected to open for the 2022 season. And what a great location it will be – just seconds from both the marina and Diocletian’s Palace.    “The fact is that the coronavirus pandemic affected the course of our investments, but we will be able to talk about the deadlines and details of the project itself, which 3LHD and the famous Piero Lissoni are working on, when the project is completed,” Adris Group confirmed.   Leading Split conservator is satisfied with the plans of the new investors:   “These are top experts who have set themselves the task of making a serious redesign, but almost reminiscent of the original project. They want to get closer to the original of the Marjan hotel and focus on quality instead of quantity, and that is a novelty in behavior in our area,” Buzancic said.   To learn more about Split, click here.
