MORE THAN A BEACH: ZLATNI RAT, A MUSIC PROMO DREAM LOCATION

It is the most iconic beach on the Adriatic, the poster child of Croatia’s natural beauty on the Adriatic, and a beach which regularly features in lists of the best beaches in Europe. Its picture adorns the local tourism promotion with the slogan, SymBOL of the Adriatic.

Each year, Zlatni Rat (the Golden Cape) attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors to enjoy its idyllic position opposite the island of Hvar and just a short stroll from the centre of Bol on Brac.

Zlatni Rat is also popular for quite another reason once the tourists have left the beach. It is a unique location and stunning backdrop for musical promotional videos, videos which not only promote the artist, but also add one more dimension to showcasing Croatia’s beauty all over the world.

Celebrated pianist Lola Astanova could not resist the lure of Zlatni Rat last summer. Lola was hired to perform at the WTA Bol Tennis Open and was due to head off to Venice to record her latest video, but she was persuaded instead to swap St Mark’s Square for this Adriatic paradise. And what a stunning result, as the 860 thousand viewers of the video above can confirm.

From piano to cello, and Zlatni Rat was once more the backdrop to a viral music video, as Croatia’s celebrated cello double act chose the beach as the setting for their spectacular version of Chariots of Fire. With more than 6 million views on YouTube, the magic of Bol has reached a new audience.    You don’t have to be a superstar recording a hit song to visit this unique beach, for it is a welcoming beach for all ages and purposes, and it is waiting for your visit.    To learn more about Bol, click here
