COME ON IN, THE WATER’S LOVELY: NEW YEAR’S DAY SWIM ON HVAR
The beaches of Hvar are filled with tourists in the summer months, who delight in their exquisite beauty under azure skies by the pristine waters of the Adriatic. Summer water temperatures are perfect to relax and escape from the stress of daily life.
But what about a winter dip?

It seems that there are a few crazy people out there, especially on Hvar, there a new tradition to greet the New Year took place once again on January 1 – the sixth edition of the New Year’s Day swim, organised by the Polar Donkeys.
The swim, which takes place at 13:00 each year at Bonj les Bains beach in front of Hotel Amfora, was well attended this year by locals of the two and four-legged variety.
And with temperatures of 16 degrees in the water, it may not have been optimal summer temperatures, but our polar donkeys clearly enjoyed themselves when they took the first swim of the year.
The sea is starting to warm up slowly as the weeks past, ready for your summer visit and perfect temperatures.
