Croatian Museum Night Returns to Split January 28
The 17th Museum Night will be held on January 28, 2022, this year, in conditions that are more or less similar to last year. Thus, our favorite cultural institutions have adapted to the new reality, and a considerable part of this year’s program will take place in controlled conditions and mandatory Covid certificates, with a significantly reduced number of visitors.
Most of the events moved to digital channels, which contributed to the wide availability of museum content. However, the immediate experience of the museum space, content, atmosphere, and people is irreplaceable when it comes to the true experience. Visitors look for a way to best meet their needs, and that is truly experiencing the cultural event.
Therefore, in uncertain circumstances when it has become almost impossible to plan museum programs in the long run, and it is especially unknown to which target audience certain programs are intended. In conditions when museums and other institutions balance between the real and possible, between the real and digital, and many difficult conditions due to the great damage they suffered in the earthquake, it is important to continue the beautiful tradition of this event.
That existing zeal, enthusiasm, and great programs and atmospheres endeavor to be replicated for the 17th Museum Night. The 17th Museum Night will be organized in real-time and space with real visitors, in compliance with prescribed epidemiological measures, and all programs will also be available through digital channels.
The Museum Night theme this year is ‘Between the Real and Digital’, and you can find the program for Split here!
