10,000 Passengers at Brač Airport in 2021

2021 wasn’t all that bad at Brač Airport, which recorded 10,004 passengers last year!

Croatian Aviation reports that this is 5,771 passengers more than in 2020 when there were just 4,273. Most passengers were recorded in the peak season, or from the beginning of July to the end of September.

Throughout the year, and especially in the summer months, Brač Airport accepts and dispatches a significant number of aircraft from general (business) aviation. However, in the 2021 summer flight schedule, Croatia Airlines connected Brač with Zagreb twice a week as part of the Croatian PSO program, every Tuesday and Saturday. Zagreb and Brač should also be connected by a regular line in the 2022 summer flight schedule, with more information in the coming months.

In addition to Zagreb, Croatia Airlines operated on charter routes to Linz, Graz, and Bratislava from Brač Airport. Luxair and the Belgian TUI did not return to Brač Airport last season, and while German Sundair announced regular charter flights to Brač from Berlin and Dusseldorf, these operations were canceled. It is expected that these charter operations will return in the summer of 2022.

Brač currently has one new announcement for the upcoming summer season. Italian SkyAlps plans to operate twice a week, on Mondays and Saturdays, between Brač and Bolzano, from May 16 to September 24 2022 with DashQ400 aircraft.

This airline should also operate flights between Innsbruck and Brač every Monday, though this will depend on the demand.
