The 450-kilometre long coastal and island promenades, on viewpoints and hills, bring together stories about history and customs, natural attractions, historical figures and events. From the easiest promenades to some of the more challenging trails within beautiful natural surroundings, where you will fill your days with unique experiences.
There are 24 trails on the islands of Šolta, Brač, Hvar and Vis for a total length of 200 kilometres, whilst the coastal area of Split and the Makarska Riviera and Dalmatian hinterland have 39 trails of a total length of 250 km. Each of them will tell a story of historical events related to that area, about the warriors, artists and crowned heads who have been visiting our region for centuries. Theme trails take you to a light visit of historical sites and the most important cultural monuments but also to trails leading to vineyards, olive groves and gardens, lavender fields or from one fortress to another, which are all important for the history of this area.
