The Stonemason’s School in Pučišća

The Stonemason’s School in Pučišća, opened in 1909 and is unique for its manual stone processing technology with the use of ancient Roman tools. There students master the secrets of the stonemason’s craft in the traditional way. This school is one of just three stonemasonry schools in Europe. With its stone sculptures during the summer, the school attracts many visitors to Pučišća, a place that also owes its beauty to its architectural heritage and beautiful stone buildings that are testimony to the centuries-old stonemasonry tradition.
