The unique school botanical garden in Croatia as the only monument of park architecture in Central Dalmatia that is not a historical park, but was created by the pupils and teachers by landscaping a neglected environment. Over an area of 4 hectares around the school building, more than 1400 plant varieties originating from all over the world are grown. The largest part is occupied by the park – arboretum, built in the English park style. Groups of indigenous and exotic trees, bushes, perennials and flowering plants have been planted in the southern garden. In the northern garden is a “small park” in the French style, with low hedges and oleanders. In the northern part of the garden is an olive grove including 45 different varieties of Mediterranean olives.
