Hvar – Botanical Garden

The family of Professor Eugen Meneghello who, at the beginning of the 20th century, built a summer house in the Palmižana Bay on the island of Sveti Klement, bringing many exotic plants and creating a rare botanical garden there. The younger generations of the Meneghello family continue to nurture their grandfather’s vision in a botanical garden that has been constantly expanding for a century. Today, Palmižana is highly valued for its botany, but also as a gathering place for artists and the promotion of art, culture and artistic expression.
