An ideal place in which to relax in peace and quiet in the midst of untouched nature is the abandoned village of Velo Grablje, five kilometres away from Brusje. This once wealthy village, founded in the 14th century, was known as the largest producer of lavender oil in Europe, but also for the production of good wine, olive oil and honey. Today it has barely a dozen permanent residents, but offers incredible opportunities for enjoying the architecture of the picturesque stone houses and courtyards where the spirit of days gone by still lives on.
