In the Franciscan monastery in Zaostrog still from the 18th century, is a picture of the Last Supper with a Dalmatian dog next to the Apostles. The Dalmatian is located in the pinacotheca of the Monastery of St. Mary in Zaostrog, created by a painter from the Venetian school from the 18th century. Some sources say that seafarers brought the first Dalmatian from Egypt to Dalmatia.
