The green Hell’s Islands are spread out in front of the entrance to the village of Hvar on the island of Hvar, and are a favourite excursion site of the islanders and the numerous tourists who come to visit the island. The Azure sea and the small number of little villages and bathing areas, are a paradise to those that are looking for peace away from the summer crowds. Numerous islets such as Vlaka, Dobrti otok, Gojak, Galešnik and St. Jerome, surround St. lement island, the largest island in the group of islands.
A nudistic beach such as those on the islets of Jerolim and Stipanska are equipped with restaurants and are connected with a regular boat line from the port of Hvar. The forested inlet of Ždrilica and the islet of Vlaka are traditional excursion sites for the inhabitants of Hvar, and are characterized by the picturesque sea bed, the untouched nature and the beautiful gravel beaches.
