Maslina as a symbol of peace, fertility, strength and victory, was brought from Syria and Palestine into Greece by the Phoenicians and Egyptians many years ago, and has since spread all over the Mediterranean. On its journey, the olive found fertile ground on the slopes of the Trogir Riviera.
