Co-patron of the Town of Hvar, St. Prošper is traditionally celebrated on St. Stephen's Square. In 1671 his remains were brought back from the catacombs in Rome by  bishop Ivan Andreis and preserved in Hvar Cathedral. The Festival brings Hvar products producers together whilst a pleasant atmosphere is guaranteed by the vast offer of Hvar wines and home-made cakes as well as by the entertainment programme.
