Brist is an old village whose roots come from the 16th century. Once dragged onto the Biokovo Mountain for easier protection against its enemies, today's Brist has enlarged along the sea shore. This was once village of fishermen, wine-growers and olive-growers, whilst over the last few years it has channeled its attention towards tourism. Excellent hosts, pleasant accommodation and gastronomic offers make Brist an interesting tourist destination. Pebble beaches protected from the wind by the Biokovo mountain and famous for its springs of potable water and ancient olive-orchards.
