Veliki Godinj is a well-preserved pearl and a rare (museum) example of rural construction in Zagora. The urban construction of the stone houses, the paved streets, the water sewage channels, the   house accommodation separated from the barn and the harvest chambers, testify its rich heritage as well as the culture of the living harmony between man and nature.
The Hamlet of Rašćane is located on the northern hillsides of the Biokovo Nature Park. On the foundations of the ancient Vrdolac Parish, today is the parish of Rašćane. The written historical testimonies about the history of this region date back to the second half of the 16th century, during the erection of the Church of St. Michael and not long ago,  a monument in honour of Don Pavlinović was erected.  In Veliko Godinje, at the end of August stone processing workshops are held the the telling of stories on the threshing floor.
