Sutivan was named after this saint and his feast day is particularly appreciated in the village. It is also a Day of the Sutivan Municipality. Celebration starts by burning the Midsummer Fire in the front of the small church of St. John (Ivan) on Bunta door whilst after the high mass, during the day are organized sport events (futsal and boccie tournament also for women!) whilst in evening dance in the air and klapa singing concerts.
